1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Stepura application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Stepura is a mobile fitness application that provides:
- Step counting using your device's built-in motion sensors
- Estimated calorie burn calculations based on user-provided profile data
- Estimated distance tracking based on stride length calculations
- Daily fitness challenges with customizable goals
- Streak tracking for maintaining consistent activity habits
- Progress visualization through charts and statistics
The App operates entirely offline and does not require an internet connection or user account to function.
3. Free to Use
Stepura is provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or hidden fees. The App does not display advertisements.
4. Eligibility
The App is intended for users aged 18 and above. By using Stepura, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, please use the App only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
5. Health & Medical Disclaimer
Important Health Notice: Stepura is a fitness tracking tool, NOT a medical device.
- Step counts are estimates based on your device's motion sensors and may not be 100% accurate
- Calorie burn calculations are approximations based on general formulas using your weight, height, age, and gender. Actual calorie expenditure may vary
- Distance measurements are estimates based on calculated stride length and may vary from actual distance traveled
- Stepura does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program
- If you experience any pain, dizziness, or discomfort during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention
- Do not rely solely on Stepura for any health-related decisions
6. User Responsibilities
When using Stepura, you agree to:
- Provide reasonably accurate profile information (weight, height, age) for better calculation accuracy
- Use the App in a safe manner and be aware of your surroundings while walking or exercising
- Not use the App while driving or operating machinery
- Take responsibility for the security of your device and the data stored on it
- Understand that fitness data stored in the App is your responsibility to back up if needed
7. Data & Privacy
All data entered into or generated by Stepura is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.
- You are solely responsible for the data stored on your device
- Uninstalling the App or clearing app data will permanently delete all your Stepura data
- We cannot recover any lost data as we have no servers or backups
8. Intellectual Property
- The Stepura name, logo, design, and all content within the App are the intellectual property of the developer
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
- You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Stepura is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components
- We are not liable for any injuries, health issues, or damages arising from the use of the App or reliance on its data
- We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device malfunction, app updates, or uninstallation
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is zero, as the App is free)
10. Sensor Accuracy
Stepura relies on your device's built-in hardware sensors (accelerometer, step counter sensor) for tracking physical activity. The accuracy of these measurements depends on:
- Your device's hardware quality and sensor capabilities
- How and where you carry your device while walking
- The accuracy of the profile information you provide
- Environmental factors and movement patterns
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any measurements or calculations provided by the App.
11. App Updates
We may release updates to the App from time to time. These updates may include bug fixes, new features, or improvements. While we strive to maintain backward compatibility, updates may occasionally require changes to stored data.
12. Termination
You may stop using Stepura at any time by uninstalling the App from your device. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
