The agreement
By using PastLight you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What the app does
PastLight sends a photograph you choose to an AI model that attempts to repair damage — scratches, creases, fading, stains and similar — and returns a restored version. Each restore costs one credit.
What we cannot promise
- Results vary. Restoration is performed by an AI model. It may produce imperfect results, may fail on heavily damaged photographs, and may occasionally alter detail in ways you did not intend.
- Always keep your original. PastLight does not modify or delete your original photo, but you should never treat a restored copy as a replacement for the original.
- The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
Credits, plans and packs
- Credits are consumed one per restore. A failed restore does not consume a credit.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in your Apple or Google account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- The starter pack is a one-time purchase of credits and can be bought again.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not refundable by us.
- All payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refunds are handled under their policies, not ours.
Acceptable use
You must own the photographs you upload, or have permission to use them. You must not use PastLight to process images that are unlawful, that depict child sexual abuse, or that you intend to use to deceive, impersonate or harass anyone. Uploads are subject to Google's safety filters and may be refused.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of PastLight, including loss of or damage to images. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
